I am assuming that these are spacers that were added for the previous owner’s lift that I have since removed. I just want to make sure these spacers aren’t required for reinstall because I’m about to cut these bitches off because the bolts are rust welded into them. Heat and air chisel were unsuccessful at beating them out. I have new bolts and nutcerts on the way for reinstall.

Update: I got them cherry red hot and beat the devil out of them and got out the ones with bolts still sticking up. Still have the one I had to cut off, I’ll try more heat and air chisel in a bit, but question still stands about the spacers. Are they factory or aftermarket? I’m trying to go back to all OEM.

Not they are not a part of the stock TJ mounting system.

You can look in here at the FSM (Factory Service Manual) https://wranglertjforum.com/threads...ice-manuals-fsm-technical-documentation.4618/ and see diagrams on how things mount up.

Black Magic Brakes sells replacement inserts if you need them on your frame. https://blackmagicbrakes.com/ols/categories/nutsert-kits-jeep-yj-and-jeep-tj

They are not required nor desirable.

Got it. I’ll trash them since I’m back to OEM suspension.

I ordered the Region Offroad nutcerts. Pretty sure I only had one break free in the frame. Hoping the rest are intact. Thanks for the info.
