Has anyone got any experience with the Advanced Adapters transfer case shifter assembly? It seems like it "might" be a good option to get rid of the stock shifter. Just looking at options before I pull the trigger on a transfer case shifter change.

I don’t totally understand the design because I’m not familiar with one end of it like I am the Savvy- On a closer look I see you’re getting a different handle

But as far as the feel, function and reliability of the cable systems I am 100% for them- I think I would rather just spend less and get a cable only.

Savvy cable 100%. Smooth and forgiving. Sometimes I don't even need to get to neutral trans to shift transferto 4LO with no grinding. Highly recommend

OEM Transfer Case linkage issue - with a 2 inch suspension life and transfer case drop (to realign the rear drive shaft), my OEM transfer case linkage geometry is out of alignment, causing the shifter link rod to routinely pop out of the hole - Part 11 below.

Consequently, I am considering a transfer case cable or linkage adapter.

So far I think I have three options:
  1. Cable such as Savvy, B&M, etc.
  2. Adapter plate like SkyJacker
  3. Adaptive Linkage such as TeraFlex 4947100 TJ Transfer Case Shift Linkage
Would appreciate feedback on what others have used and their views based on DIY installation and results.

Thanks

All you really need is a small drop-down bracket.
Sometimes they're included with bodylift kits which cause the same problem as a transfer drop.

The next cheapest option is the relocation bracket.

I've already done the Savvy 241 cable.
I still wanna do this shifter arm mod. I wish it were as straightforward as buying a lever that fits.
EDIT: link to thread

It used to be easy when the ebay dude was selling the rod.

Gotta be someone out there who can bend some straight rod for you. Drill a hole. Dremmel the flat spots. Run a die on the end or find a shift knob uses set screws instead of threaded insert.

Yeah, I can do most/all of that. But it's just so far down the priority list that I probably won't get to it for a long time unless I can just buy one off the shelf.
