That Bronco may not be a fair comparison.
Oh for sure not. Tierods didn't even snap on it.

Has anyone here actually wheeled in a newer Bronco? I'd like to if I ever got the chance just to try it out. I've only ever seen one on a trail once.
Yeah, the guy who didn't have any supplemental cagey stuff.
I see them all the time at our local OHV in Bridgeport TX. Never on the actual trails though. They congregate in packs of 10 or more and drive around the roads and park in big long formations to talk.
The one time I've seen them on trails there was also about a dozen of them in a group. Maybe they just travel in packs? I was just in a misfit group with a Rzr, CJ-5, and my TJ.
It's all good they recently reopened it.
"The Staircase is a less-known obstacle on Hell’s Revenge because it has been closed for 10 or more years. In 2022 it was opened again, and it is a fun challenging obstacle that has a v shape at the beginning that requires a good line to not fall into the V.
The Staircase is similar to Hell’s Gate and could be considered a mini Hell’s Gate. You need to stay on the right line, or things can get tippy."
Not necessarily the first obstacle, but yeah from my understanding it basically is intended to prevent underbuilt rigs and inexperienced drivers from attempting the full trail. If you can't do the gatekeeper, you're gonna be f---ed on the rest of the trail without good bypasses.I apologize for my ignorance... I have my flame suit on, but go easy on me.
The gatekeeper.. would be the first obstacle on any given trail? The one you have to get past or the rest is no-go?
And, how can a rock chute in the heart of Moab be 'closed' and why? I can understand if it is on private land, but aren't most of these gorgeous routes on public land?
Bobo answered the gatekeeper question.
The trails in Moab are designated trails so you can’t drive wherever you want you have to stay on the trail. If whoever manages the trails says it’s closed, it’s closed.
Sand hollow on the other hand is pretty much a free for all and you can drive wherever you want.
Trust me as a MTB trailbuilder I definitely know what you mean. It's a little trickier with offroading because if BLM or the FS catches you on a closed trail they actually have law enforcement power. Most I can do on a hiking or biking trail is stack some rocks or put up a sign. And this is coming from a guy who has poached a whole lot of questionably legal trails on my bike.Thank you both.
So the gatekeeper is to weed out the weak so to speak. Makes sense.
I’m a back country backpacker. Trails are often little more than a suggestion and even if something is ‘closed’ it really isn’t. You just walk around it.

Now that is some pretty solid deathcore (I think?).
Wow.. that was about as lucky as you can get.
