So last month my car had an 02 sensor problem, it was the upstream sensor I replaced on it and it stopped misfiring and idling like a tractor and accelerating like a donkey, anyways, now I get another code and it’s doing it again. Haven’t went to get my code checked yet but I’m wondering if it could be something else.

You can the key off and on three times. Really fast and it will tell you the codes in the odometer screen... depending on what year jeep you have.

What brand of O2 sensor did you install? Bosch? NTK?

That Bosch sensor is your problem @Nicholas.
I recall sending you a pic of the correct NTK sensor.
Pay attention young man !
I have the 2.5L also.
If you go back and reread your misfire thread you will see a.pic i uploaded of the NTK 23506 02 sensor in its box.
Replace the Bosch with NTK and your life will return to normal young man.

I remember but I didn’t get to it until after I already bought the Bosch sensor and opened it up:((

Engine code is P0171 and supposedly it “could be” 02 sensor, fuel cell clog, or fuel filter, so on
It's highly unlikely to be a fuel cell clog or a clogged fuel filter. It's highly likely from having installed that Bosch O2 sensor which is designed for a different bias voltage than the TJ provides. As has been recommended 1000's of times on this forum, you really should be running an NTK O2 sensor.

Alright yeah I’m just gonna stop stressing and worrying about it going on and off and I’ll go ahead and buy the 2 sensors, just gonna be a B to install them now that the exhaust threads are stripped but I’ll get around it

Your Profile doesn't say what model year you have but make sure you're only installing the upstream O2 sensor(s). Early TJs have just one upstream O2 sensor, later models have two upstream O2 sensors.

1998 2.5L 5 speed but I thought I saw another one in the muffler ? Might as well do that one ?
