So after some smoke tests on my 2004 Jeep Wrangler rubicon I have found that my throttle body is leaking air at the points the butterfly connects too..

So now I am looking into replacing it with a new throttle body, my question is too anyone with experience in upgrading the bore size. I see these 62mm upgraded bore throttle body’s all day.. and the actually seem cheaper than a replacement mopar unit..

Is there any advantages to getting one? Will the computer freak out if I change it? Also will my inlet hose still fit haha..
Thanks guys
Here is a link too a mopar unit I found

Well, I dunno...I did a similar 4.0L throttle body upgrade on my 2.5L TJ, but the upgrade would have been totally worthless unless I had upgraded the rest of the system:
Ported & shaved heads, oversized valves, hogged out manifold bore, Headers, Jet Performance stage 2 add-on for the ecu, High output ignition.
(Jury's still out on the so-called "Cold Air" Intake).
Why is that?...'Cause it ain't "Cold Air"...my Intake Air Measurement reported 117 Degrees F, on a 78 Degree day!
Anyway, back to topic...

Just think about it for a sec.
O/bore TB on a stock engine, just like that?

Any changing to an O/Bore TB must include a whole bag of other things,
otherwise, tossing a 62mm on a stock engine just makes your wallet lighter...

"Pain with no gain".

The Basic cheap "quickie" upgrade ...

1) ...you need to "hog" out the intake manifold bore to the 62mm dia. of the new TB.
(BTW...hogging out the manifold without further mods is a waste of time, and accomplishes nothing!).

2) Shaved and ported heads with oversized valves (to take advantage of the TB increased airflow).

3) ECU add-on to compensate for the different operating parameters.
(I use Jet Performance stage 2 for my 4-popper, and am happy...there are others).

4) Optional, but nice...a High Output Ignition Coil.

So...

You HAVE to do more than just "pop" in an O/size TB and figure that's it...No...
If that is your thought, well, might as well go to a good steakhouse and order their best...
at least you will have something for your money.
Really...
The O/Size TB is a start to a proper approach to a proper systematic performance upgrade...
But, if you want to spend the money, the results will be there, AND you will have entered into a whole
new world of DIY mods...along with the happy feeling you get from a "job well done",
never mind the knowledge gained...

Happy Modding!
