Almost did that once... had no idea the clutch interlock was bypassed in 4Low. Forgot to press the clutch, almost idled through a cinder block wall in my garage. Doesn't matter what brake kit you have, you can't stop it in 4Low and 1st.

Had a ‘79 Cherokee, less than a week after I bought it, found out the transmission safety switch (auto transmission) was missing, when I started it and it tried to drive through our blazer… (Cherokee was on 40’s with 13in lift)

Next lessen will be how to use the brakes properly. My Son has rolled my YJ twice that I know of. He also forgot to latch the hood and drive 50mph. Needless to say he is not allowed to drive the TJ even with me in it.

You just officially convinced me to not leave any spare keys laying around when I'm not home when my boys get to that age. Not for the Jeep or the Cutlass at least. Wife can't/won't drive those anyways. The irony of running over your own hard top is crazy

Sorry about your hardtop. $1500 mistake. I really detest the destruction of hard earned capital.

When my daughter was learning to drive mine, she put it in R rather than 1st. I thought I had made it easier for her. I had backed into the garage. To my great dismay, I also hung the hard doors on the wall behind the Jeep. Those two don’t go together well. Crunch as the spare tire backed into the passenger door. Only took $500 and a 6 hour drive to get a new door
