Super 30 Shims

Trying to replace the ring and pinion on my LP TJ Dana 30 with a Super 30 kit and Eaton e-locker.

Ordered SK30214 and they appear to be inboard shims.

Will and Dana 30 outboard shim kit work?

Looks like the OD is 2.65" and they're about .5 inch "wide."

Dana 44 shims look to be 2.25".

I’ll dive down the rabbit hole and see if I can recall what kit I used. I think this is the pile of shims I used. I think this is what your asking..
They are in a 713F200 box, but I’m not sure it’s the kit they come in.

Yup that would be them. Have a part number?

Looks like the shims for a Dana 30 are supposed to be inner shims...I can use what I ordered and pull the carrier bearings and replace the outers with same size inners.

What I'm trying to figure out is how I ended up with outer shims...they must have come with my install kit, and I can't find the leftovers anywhere.

Trying to figure out how to order the outers... although at this point I think I need to use the inners unless I want to wait a few weeks for shipping.

You might try calling Parts Mike... They've always been super helpful & knowledgeable when I've been ordering different types of parts... Like then dealing with my Ford hub & rotor on a Chevy small bearing spindle on my HP44. It takes some odd parts.

I have purchased so many I can’t tell you what kit had them. If you can’t find any, I can toss what I have here in an on envelope.

I ended up pulling the carrier bearings and just building an identical sized shim stack...inner instead of outer.

Was trying to be lazy.

The bearing seat doesn't change, so the aftermarket outers would work fine.
