Stretched LJ on 40s

The JK instructions they have on they're site are dang near the same the as the TJ/LJ process. Hopefully that helps. I've got several friends running them already, and I have to say they're worth the coin. I've been really impressed to the abuse they've put up with, even for sliders.

Never thought to look there. That does help as was having hard time trying to visualize how three pieces would go together.

Soooo. I've blown past the original date I was hoping to get done by, and next weekend (Nov 10-12th) was the back up date for the wheeling trip I was hoping to have this done by. I'll be blowing past that as well. I'm still happy with the progress I'm making though, fitting this in around family time and work just isn't great.

Hopefully I can get more done this week.

Sorry to hear work not great. At the end of the day you have to put family first, as an old boy now there is litttle I regret more about my younger years than putting other things ahead of time with family. The Jeep will still be great fun whether it takes a few weeks (or even months) longer to get ready than you would initially have hoped. The Jeep is looking great already and I am enjoying following your thread from here in the UK.

I absolutely suck at updating this. But the first phase of this is "done." Its now been out to Moab for EJS for its shake down run. We were able to hit Kane Creek and the Pickle.

Was also able to get it out to Sand Hollow. Didn't get as many pics down there, but it was a blast. We ran Triple 7s, Papa Smurf, and Milt's Mile.

Lovin it so far. Lots of little adjustments and things needed, but thats normal for a new build. I'll update with those as I do them.

Next item to address is the draglink hitting the frame long before I bottom out the shock or hit bump stop. I could add more bump stop but I would like the travel. I plan to notch the frame slightly here.

The radiator isn't far from hitting as well. Does anyone know of a radiator that sits a little higher or would have more clearance to that side? I'm thinking about getting an aluminum radiator and modifying it to fit as a friend as done.

Nice build and this one made me create an account finally. I have a new to me LJ with similar build aspirations.

Could you share your custom corner form with the dimensions Nemesis wants? Are you still pleased with the quality of the Nemesis

Cold Case MOJ991A is a bit higher. How are the Nemesis Billy Rocker's holding up against the rocks? I installed a set on a stretched LJ and I thought they were a bit thin.

Sorry, I've been terrible at keeping up on this.

I'm stoked to see your LJ and what you do with it. I specified a 6in stretch for a 40in tire to Rob at Nemesis for these corners.

I'm super pleased with the quality of the armor, fenders, and sliders. My only complaint is the complete lack of instructions. I'm fairly mechanically inclined and still couldn't figure out a few things without a bit of trial and error.

I've hammered mine fairly well, and theyve held up. They have a few scraps I keep touching up, but no dents yet.

I'd like them to be steel. Less gummy on the rocks when you do scrap and a bit stronger.

I've been terrible with updates. But I've made a few. I opened the wheel openings in the corner armor as far as I could. Fixed a few things on the front shock towers, I did all the prep work and paid a buddy who paints professionally to spray it in my garage.
