Has anyone fabricated a Starlink mount for inside the jeep using Rollbar attachment or any others? Supposedly it will transmit through a soft top? I know Bulletpoint is working on one but, I am wondering if anyone has done anything interesting already. I have purchased the Starlink Mini and would like to use it camping when out of cell tower range.

3D printed ones seem the most economical. Even better if you can print it yourself or know someone with a printer.

I saw some 4400 cars at KOH with 3D printed mounts on the roof.

Thanks for the reply. I do have one that works on my suburban roof with magnets or suction cups but, I am wanting a mount that will work with the Jeep soft top. i was thinking an attachment to the Roll bar. I did see a youtube video of someone just throwing it on top of their Alien or Spider shade but, that's not really stable. It did work through the Soft top in their review.

I'd need my hands on one to know how I would do it, but that is likely where I would go. That or hose clamps on the left/right sportbar that brace some crossmember. Another interesting location, if it fits, would be between the speaker pods with a paw onto either/both pods to keep it from rotating down (for the later models).

I don’t know anything about starlink, but do you not need to go through an alignment process like you do with a TV dish?

Yeah, but also kinda not really. It does one when you start it up in the app, you can align it. It's suggested. But I've driven over 80 miles across the Utah desert then all the way back home to Meridian, Idaho without bothering to adjust it and it worked fine enough for me to never notice it wasn't pointed right. I think it being flat makes a pretty big impact. Guessing.

Maybe if you want those super fast speeds I suppose, or are under trees. But in the time I've been using it... mhem. I don't worry about it being perfect.
