This is what I really want!
There's already a bellhousing for this trans.....all I'd need is a different ecu and a bunch of other stuff
I don't see myself spending 4k plus for a damn 42rle.....just sayin....can't clutch dump an auto

Never heard of a neutral slam? Or trans brake? I would not recommend a manual transmission if you plan on serious wheeling

Yeah your not wrong.... I've thought of that,my auto has came in clutch (pun not intended) when being in tight "technical spots" where manual jeeps seems to struggle alot and them needing to slip the clutch and struggle
Im gonna miss my rubicrawler if I do go manual but I plan on having another LJ for either the "street racing" stuff and one for going fast as well but more focused for rock crawling so it'll have an auto or manual depending on what I'm gonna run on my current jeep

OR I can shell out 12k and do a 6r80 and run an atlas and not worry so much about breaking it compared to a 42rle,I can trans. Brake it and all,Now that would be awesome !!!

Dragging this thread back from the dead to see if anyone has any more info on this controller since it has been available for over a year now. Can't seem to find a single reference to anyone trying it on a TJ or elsewhere.

Here's the closest I could find, which is actually for a different control unit (TCM430) on a 47RE. Seems it operates similarly though. I also e-mailed them to see if they would send me the manual for the TCM-432 so we could review it and determine if it is a good fit for the TJ. Will update if/when I hear back.

I use a quick 6 controller on my 6r80 swap. They have a quick 4 as well that works on the 4L60, 4L80, AOD-E, 4R70 and 4R100. I wonder if they could make it work for the 42RLE? Mine works flawless and allows for full shift tuning and paddle shifting.
