I am once again asking for your assistance…

1997 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L 6 cylinder

Popped a P302 code. Took it to shop they replaced map sensor then told me throttle body needed to be replaced.

I ordered and installed a new throttle body. Took it for a test drive today with no luck. It’s currently not displaying a P302 code only a Barometric reading sensor high code. You have to give it a ton of throttle and keep the rmps high to get it to move and it will sputter and then die. Now it will die after turning on.

It’s currently reading 15.1 psi for map sensor.

Map sensor replaced
Throttle body replaced
Swapped idle air control valve w known good one

Nick in wire on wiring harness? Crack in intake manifold? Any other ideas?

Check the relay.

On my 06 4.0 it was the fuel pump going bad, sputtering, dying, run a short time (10 to 30 seconds) then die again.

I don't know about the 2.4 but have stayed in Holiday Inn express a number of times.
