Had a positive experience with Denny at Denny’s DS. He called me back yesterday because I thought I had the incorrect u-joint. I missed the call as I was busy working on the jeep.
Called him back this morning to say thank you for calling me back and I did have the correct u-joint. For those of you who seen my question about my install of the cardan and the gap. He confirmed that the part is called “H-yoke” and is symmetrical on each end. I explained my situation to him and he was patience and asked questions to get to the issue.
Denny mentioned the white bushings that is on the inside of the cap and did I make sure there was only one in each cap. He said it would go back together but the DS would be slightly off-center. Which mine is as the gap on the opposite side is bigger and he said that isn’t right. So I need to take it all apart again to see if I accidentally have two bushing in one cap.
All that work to check for a bushing, ugh. Wish I could get it out without dropping the skid plate.
