Hey, all. Long time reader/lurker, new to signing up and joining. It warms my heart that a forum is still so alive and well! Ive had a TJ for a few years now, and after several times of breaking my Dana 30/35 I've been in the process of building some rubicon Dana 44 it. (New brackets trusses, parts. Replacing EVERYTHING but the housings and carriers/lockers).

WELL, Thursday night I found what seemed too good to be true of a deal (I'll let you guys guess what I paid for it :D). Blew the guy up, and Friday night had a handshake deal. I went this morning and picked her up! 129k miles, clean title, and VERY well taken care of. Small cancer spot on one front fender, scratch on rear quarter, blower motor only works on high speed, and the rear locker wont engage. (looked to be a corroded inlet tube into the diff causing a leak. 🤞)

Outside of that, shes nearly completely stock and unomolested. 2" springs/shocks and new 33s installed.

My plans: (At least for build v.1)
- Molest it (lol)
- Put my D44s im building under it and sell the stockers
- 37s+
- Stretch the rear?
- Unsure what length arms (I'm still learning off road suspensions, but this seems a heated topic)
- I've got an LS2&trans that I've had laying around for some time and it never felt right for the TJ, but the LJ seems like a good candidate at some point 😎

Needing Recommendations:
- Which fastback top should I get? I typically just put it on once a year then take it off once a year, leaving my mesh shade under it. Was going to get a rampage, but idk now?
- I already have the parts on hand, but Im curious how 5.38s will be in this since it has the 6spd & 4:1 t-case? Like i said im basically locked in already but my math showed only a few hundred rpm difference between 4.88s and 5.38s
- Outside of an arm kit what springs should i look at? I currently have a rustys longarm/4" lift on the TJ i bought and it rides pretty damn rough for my liking.

2.5 years ago, I had no idea what an LJ was or even what the rubicon package had to offer. Now I'm rocking the golden child of TJ's and happy !

Thanks in advance!
