Rocker panel light switch suggestions

I recently performed some upgrades/mods on my 2005 Wrangler Unlimited. I put in a "Custom 3D Fab" (https://www.custom3dfab.com/collections/jeep-wrangler-tj-lj/products/11-car) to put all my light rocker switches (GCD switches from Amazon).

Unlike the stock rockers that are backlit, theses are not, there is very little light in the dark, i know where each switch is but it would be nice to have some sort of illumination on the panel. See pics.

Any suggestions?

From your thread title I was expecting a light in the actual console and not a rocker switch panel on the dash. I don’t have any ideas for the dash panel lighting.

Go to your local auto parts store (or eBay/Amazon) and search for surface mounted lighting.
You should be able to find something small to mount above the switches.
In similar cases, I was able to mount small, individual LEDs that pointed down from just above the switches.

I believe @MountaineerTom modified switches similar to these to be backlit.

Where was the good place you found in the firewall to run your wiring thru to the switches?

Wanting to install a fog light rocker switch in the one blank spot I have. The hardest part looks like actually getting the wires to it thru the firewall

My jeep did not have power steering, the PS plate made a great location for the fuse block (Blue Sea Systems 5026 ST Blade Fuse Block 12 Circuit with Ground and Cover) I also added a circuit breaker and relay. (found the idea and layout on another post on the JK Forum - https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-write-ups-39/diy-auxiliary-fuse-block-box-107258/). I was familiar with adding a fuse block on my Harley to keep some organization with my wiring.

I punched through my firewall through the power steering plastic plug (IMG_0028a). There are 2 nuts on the inside of the fire wall to remove it. That is a good area to punch through though. and the area around the fenders worked well for all the wiring relays for the lights with access to the fuse block.

Under the batter pan that the battery sits on and the PS pan where the fuse block is, is a cavity, makes a wonderful place to coil excess wiring in and to route wiring through. I used the battery area void to clean up the excess winch wiring that was stuffed in front of the battery to clean it up.

I plan plan on posting before and after picture mods of the jeeps transformation.

Lol, yes. the zombie and rock lights are future mods, I do have a 10" led light bar on the fairlead light bracket that's been added so there will be an additional rocker to add. None of the light rockers power up unless the ignition is on.

The jeep was bought to tow behind an RV and an eventual monster trip up to Denali and a side trip to Prudhoe Bay. Wanted to be able to light up any off road area we came across and having each set of lights on a completely independent switch.

Replace the switches with CH4x4 Carling switches. Mine are backlit.
