I need to replace my power steering pully. I rented the puller from orilleys. The lip on the edge of the pully broke trying to remove it. I have 180 degrees of lip left.
How do I get the pully off now?

Can't you remove it even without the outer edge? I would think the hook ends on the puller would still grab onto it.

Make sure you are using the correct part from the tool. My kid just did his two days ago and apparently we had the "install" threader inserted...it looked proper.
Then he swapped it, and it popped right off.
Maybe he'll chine in w/ his first post.

I’ve found the cheap puller kits do not properly engage the lip on the plastic pulley that came on my 2003.

parts store rentals are typically the cheap kits.

So the puller you used likely wasn’t engaging the lip enough. Sorry I can’t recommend one that will specifically work for you. I have a kit from Mac and it doesn’t work on TJ pulleys.

The pulley is plastic. You could probably cut it off pretty easily
I vaguely remember mine being a plastic pulley but having a metal centre section pressed on to the pump. It’s been quite a few years since I replaced mine so may be remembering incorrectly.
