Red Jeep Interior Idea

I had this done at my local upholstery shop. ‘Not cheap, but I’m very happy with the results. The black part is Katskin & the red inserts are leather.

i would not do any RED color accents on the dash at all. I would do maybe RED stitching on the seats and maybe get RED seatbelts. Subtle. That red gauge surround would reflect off the windshield and drive me crazy.

My suggestion would be: Replace all the red with yellow.

😎

(But that’s just me…)
Yellow is the bestest color.

I need to figure out how to glue mine to the metal subframe. Apparently my hot glue gun is insufficient.

I used this...

I read that as "My wife uses it in her handcuffs", before coffee this morning. I was thinking that it was some strong glue. ;)
The best aisle in HD...

I'm intrigued by this product.
Curious how much you had to use and does this flow like super glue or is it more gel-like?

I have a large embroidered patch that I want to attach to a leather vest and sewing it isn't a great option as it will need to be disassembled to avoid sewing it through the liner. Using a quality adhesive instead is an appealing idea.

I would love to see someone make a maroon or navy blue interior similar to the old GM trucks.

I do plan on buying a midnight blue carpet kit from AAC, I ordered samples and I really like the way the midnight blue contrasted the slate grey interior of my 2006.

I suggest you find a large craft store, like JoAnn Crafts and take both pieces there. One of the nice grandmotherly types will tell you which of the myriad of adhesive products they sell will work the best.

It's a thin-ish milky consistency. I brush it on. Like contact cement.. a layer on both sides, let it set and then clamp. I used it to glue the RedLine leather arm rest cover on as well. Also used it to glue the sole back on a pair of shoes.. Those shoes are still going strong.

Only downside is it doesn't have a long shelf life. I grabbed the bottle a few days ago to do another project and the contents had hardened rock hard.
