Yep, order up a tail shaft and a rebuild kit, ideally. Fix that and I bet you’ll be doing a whole lot better.

Any idea where I might find a shaft? Cracked open the case and the tail is indeed bent. I have rebuild kits already, but coming across a shaft is a nightmare. Luckily there is a used TC at a yard near me, and I’ll see if I can rip it out of there.
