I was looking at getting some lower seats for my 2000 TJ and I really like the seats in my 04 LJ and I heard its like a 1.5-2in difference in height. After having quite a bit of seat time in both the 97-02 and 03-06 seats, I definitely like the 03-06 seats way more than my 2000 seats even with the seat relocation brackets and was looking for a set of newer seats. But I just recently got the opportunity to sit in some PRP Enduro seats with standard TJ brackets and I REALLY liked them a lot. But this was a built rig with custom tube chassis so I could not really compare them to my TJ and LJ. Does anyone know how the PRP Enduros sit height wise compared to the 03-06?

I'm a bit confused, you want lower seats in your 2000?

I installed Enduro recliners onto the factory seat brackets in my '05. Previously I had factory seats with 1.25" risers and after swapping to the Enduros I ended up removing the risers. I'm not sure if the fixed back Enduros are the same on the bottom, but to me it seemed like the Enduros in practicality sit an inch or so higher than the factory late seats. Of course my original seats have 100k miles of seat time on them and the Enduros aren't even close to being broken in yet, so they might settle some.

here's a comparison post I made when I had them both out. Note the difference in seat height, as well. That's the extra tall Enduro recliner and it's still shorter than the factory seat.

Correct, I would like to lower the seat bottom of the 2000 TJ to match my LJ. I do not have issues with visibility out the front. I find the ride way more comfortable in my LJ as-is than my TJ with the seats moved 2in further back than the furthest back they can go factory. Not sure I can explain exactly what it is that makes it more comfortable especially on my legs, I just know it is.

The PRP EnduroTrek are about 1.5" higher than the stock seats. If you want to use the OEM fold and tumble seat bases, you won't be able to lower the seat any without major modifications.

I have them in my 2000 and love them. They are much more comfortable than the OEM seats. Even withe the PRP adapter brackets, I still had to do a little modification. They needed to be about 3/8" towards the center of the Jeep. I just used grade 8 bolts with a nut on the inside before putting the seat on the bolt.

If I am going with these seats, I can live without fold and tumble. Is it the bases or the seat cushions them selves that change the height between a 97-02 and 03-06?

After receiving an 03-06 seat foam replacement instead of a 97-02... I can at the very least attest to the fact that the newer seats have thinner foam bases.

So I am probably going to go ahead with the PRPs and not purchase the 03-06 seats I saw on marketplace. I am doing finishing touches on a LS swap for a 78 Corvette for someone and will use the proceeds from that job to get me a set of these seats. Could probably sell my custom upholstered caramel covered seats in the TJ for a good chunk of change as well. I think with these seats I'll probably eliminate the rear seat for good and do the roll bar I want with the proper harness I always wanted. Always got the LJ and my Honda if I am taking more than 1 passenger somewhere.

I believe the bases are also a tad lower in the 03+.
