Precautions for welding on frame

Hello all,

I now have to weld on frame for rust repair. What precautions should I take to prevent damage to electronic components ? Thanks for reading,

I would disconnect battery and PCM. Muffler shop fried the PCM in my 06 TJ when welding on a new muffler.

Weld away.

In all the welding I've done on my jeep, motorcycle, truck, I've never once disconnected anything.

The old guy who taught me to weld always made me disconnect the PCM's. I haven't on my own rig and no issues either way. FWIW.
