Is there anyone that has used a personal heater in their TJ or a heater/defroster?

I was told my heater core was flushed before the person sold it to me, but I have no heat. AC works great.

Not sure on the status of the thermostat, but I also believe the radiator, water pump, was replaced.

No issues with overheating or anything, and no leaks.

Is your heater core plumbed in, or is it bypassed under the hood? There are 2 hoses that go to the inlet/outlet of the heater core, which sticks through some foam on the firewall right next to the computer (above the battery). If your hoses are connected up there, then if you don't have heat you most likely have an issue with the heater core itself. Maybe check if those hoses are even getting warm?

No idea. That's why I'm posting this. I guess it's bad. The valve cover gasket was recently replaced as well as thermostat, radiator, and heater core was flushed. I'm guessing I jus need to take it down to the mechanic to get a full system flush.

You definitely don't need to take it some place to do a full flush, there are plenty of writeups here. Get some themocure and run it through as per the instructions. lather, rinse, repeat. Nobody talks about it here, but the prestone flush kit works pretty well too.

Prestone flush kit is available and Walmart for cheap. Flushing the cooling system is simple and definitely not a task requiring a mechanic.
