This shit really pisses me off. We have a couple cameras here and there and two of them send an alert to my cellphone so I am notified immediately. Works pretty good, I hope to someday catch someone in the act and hold them at gunpoint for the police.

When I lived in Austin for a brief while about 10 years ago, the apartment complex where a couple of my friends used to live had this repeated issue of packages getting stolen. The cops evenly caught them years later and it was a big operation with like 35 or so guys doing this in different neighborhoods everyday. They would just hawk the items on Craigslist (but not immediately after the theft) or just sell it through their network. They had been doing this for years in different areas in Texas as well, and would move after a while to a different area. I was shocked when I read all the details.

If you watched the video, you would have had to have your gun drawn and waiting for them to have any effect and then you would have had to start firing into the vehicle to maybe get them to stop. 18 seconds is nothing. We were on the other side of the fence and barely got out through the gate to try and get the plate number while they were driving away.

I'm going to be a bit less than passively accepting of this bullshit. If you or anyone else finds any of the stuff for sale anywhere and can get me in contact, that will put 500 bucks in your pocket. If anyone can identify them well enough to get them arrested, I'll hand you 1500 bucks cash or payment of your choice.

Yes for your situation, absolutely. I was more thinking if I saw something like someone fucking with my Jeep that sits in my driveway. I've already mentally practiced my very commanding 'SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT GET ONTO THE GROUND GET ONTO THE GROUND' voice while holding my .45 on the perp. All of course after telling my wife as I run out the door to call 911 and tell them the old guy in the skivvies holding the gun is me.

You're welcome but just so you know, it made it there in exactly the same amount of time as if it had never been pillaged. We got the kit repacked and new labels generated before our UPS driver got here for his normal pick up.
