PO Regrets

But...but....but...what about those horsepower gains? :sneaky:

I have read on the Forum that the stock airbox is the only set-up capable of supporting this in full afterburner ! .......

As written in a post above, I too bought my current TJ due to spendy mods done by the previous owner, however I've been doing projects every week for two months on deferred maintenance (no service records provided) plus "un-doing" many "upgrades". One of those on the list is ditching the K&N CAI, which I despise. On my former 2000 TJ 4L Sport (from-new for 20 years, I much preferred the OEM box, with just a bit of grease smeared around the filter panel periphery as sealant to block any dust that might migrate through those areas due to inconsistent gasket fit. Tonight, I purchased a complete replacement OEM air intake box which was a tougher find due to the TB tube's sensor placement differences for 2005-2006. Sadly, the few used parts sellers on eBay take listing pics with those items not even cleaned to illustrate representative condition. I chose and paid a bit more for one from a specialty Wrangler used parts seller in Canada. Go figure — from Toledo Ohio to somewhere in Quebec to my remote AZ location. Quite the journey...
