Changing the valve cover gasket on my jeep and had to remove that plastic wiring cover at the very back and definitely don’t feel like doing that ever again. Has anyone just removed it and put protective wire tubing around those wires ? And is that safe to do, and how did you get the bolt out of the cover and would it be okay to use the same bolt. Thanks

I definitely ditched that thing when I changed my valve cover gasket. I don't recall having an issue with a bolt being stuck in the plastic. I wrapped the wires in electrical tape and conduit and hung it from the bracket above it with a zip tie. If you do ditch it, make sure the wires are protected from heat and abrasion.
