Funny you mention cameras, as you'd think with so many cars having them now people would have no problem parking perfectly backing in, and yet...
I was taught to back in, so I am ready to make a quick getaway.
I prefer to back into a parking spot if I can't pull through to a easy out. Parking lots suck.

Couple days ago I saw a Bronco with several dash ducks. I guess it’s a virus that is spreading across makes.Driving back from town, 10 miles. Every Jeep I passed had so many ducks lined up across their windshield there is no way the defroster can do its job. Wondered why none of them did the ole Jeep wave? Could it be they couldn’t see out the front window? What a bunch of morons
Like I said, there are solid reasons for doing it, I'm all for it.
I'm only suggesting that if one intends to park this way, maybe one should strongly considering sorting that shit out before encountering a situation involving other vehicles in close proximity...

I also try to avoid other people in those parking areas when possible
They do. Most are poorly designed and just try to meet minimum code requirements while maximizing spaces...at the expense of every future patron's paint and bodywork...
And new cars seem to keep getting bigger, which doesn't help.
Arizona is fun change from the midwest.
The parking lots often look more like a drive thru garden with all the landscaped islands.
Then they take a Smart Car and lay out the spaces in what's left.
To hell with the geezers who come for the winter with their dually pickups.
We daily the TJ when we're there so you can whip it in anywhere.

Some phocker just gave me a $100 bill that was taped together... Needless to say I am pretty pissed. The shit part is he is 3.5 hrs away so there's not much that can be done.
