My 05 LJ with the 6spd trans was apparently reprogramed at the dealer back in early 05. Was there some kind of PCM weirdness going on back then? I bought it in 18, and it's been fine, but seeing another post about 05s with manual transmission having some kind of PCM issues has got me to wondering.

This sticker is on the firewall above the PCM and dated 2/9/05.

The issue that you will eventually have is the 05, 06 PCMs are junk and are going to fail. Has nothing to do with the software which is what was updated in yours.

The OEM 6 speed pcm will have faulty o2 sensor readings, intermittent loss of gauges (usually the fuel gauge), rough idle and stalling while driving. Any or all of these are the pcm failing.

Thanks for the info. Mine's behaving other than throwing a very small vacuum leak code shortly after every fill up. The one the parts stores tell you to buy a new gas cap for. (the new gas cap didn't didn't do anything for it and I decided it was easier to just keep an old scanner under the seat and clear the code when it pops up than chase as very small leak in the vacuum hoses).
