OME 2 Inch Lift

Thanks for your replies. One more question, did you have to install a SYE (slip yoke eliminator) on your transfer case?

I've had the same setup on mine for ~5 years now. 2.7" of lift up front and 2.2" rear. I've got the 4.0, auto trans, OEM front bumper with no winch, 33" spare and MORryde kit in the rear, soft top and run with the rear seat out. I did wind up needing an SYE, and did adjustable control arms shortly after the lift, as the OEM bushings were shot.

Initially, I installed the JKS discos when I did the lift. They were great, but in the last year, I upgraded to a Swayloc. Well worth the extra $ if you plan any serious wheeling and budget allows.

Just FYI in case you were pricing out a shopping list. You would not need an SYE for your Rubicon as it has a fixed yoke. If you were already aware, kindly disregard this. Just didn't want you looking at parts you don't need.

I'm hoping I don't need the SYE. '04 Rubicon, 4.0, factory front bumper, no winch & no plans of one, factory rear bumper, soft top, 32" spare, no rear seat. Thank you for the info.

Your Rubicon runs a fixed yoke so a SYE isn't needed.

Oh, Thank you VERY much. No I did not know that as I am new to the TJ Rubicon. Had a 10 JK but hated the 6 spd. Love my TJ.

Ok, hope this helps anyone trying to decide on a lift. I 1st installed a BB Mammoth 2" lift, it included 2" coil spring spacers and new Mammoth shocks for a 2" lift. It was intended to use my existing coil springs, so I tried it to save some money!...Well, I hated how stiff the ride was so I ordered OME coil springs and shocks all intended for a 2" to 2.5" lift. WOW, what a difference in the ride! My TJ is light. Factory front & rear bumper, no winch, soft top, no rear seat, 32" spare tire.

This is what OME recommended...

2" light load front coil springs 2932
2.5" light load rear coil springs 2941
OME Nitrocharger Plus front shock 63046
OME Nitrocharger Plus rear shock 63048
