Oil pressure

last night after work, went to start the jeep. no oil pressure. shut it off. turned it on. still no pressure. did this a few times and than it came back to normal.

was fine all evening driving around n such. full of oil.

this morning same thing happened. after a couple of starts its back to normal.

is this just the sending unit (i got a new one today in case) or should i be looking at something else? engine doesnt burn oil, no leaks.

Sounds like the gauge is stripping if its the only one. . My gauges are all weird and off relatively. My quarter of a tank is 3/8th of a tank. My speedometer can be 5 mph off lol. Its just something i got used to and is a bit of character. I listen to the engine. How it starts. If i corner hard and lose fuel pressure... then i know im really low on gas... or its just a sensor. Could need cleaning. Even grounds can mess with the system in crazy ways.

First thing is removing the oil pressure sensor and cleaning it. I used a toothpick for mine. Worked fine.
