I'm pretty certain this is @BendLarry's Rubicon. If so, why are you selling it? Better yet, what are you replacing it with?

Ad says ”I love this Jeep but need to sell because of a physical issue making it difficult for me to step up into the Jeep." :(

I was just wondering the other day what ever happened to @BendLarry. Did he go the way of @JamesAndTheSahara?

No idea, but I'm certain that is his TJ. It has all the same mods, same color, mentions that he tows it behind an RV, and it's located in Bend.

Also, he had just gotten back from Moab, and some of those photos in the ad are clearly from Moab.

It mentions in the add that he is selling it due to a physical issue preventing him from getting up into it. If that is indeed true, that's very unfortunate. Pretty sure he really loved that thing.

Yeah, after re-reading it, I noticed that part as well. That's very unfortunate!

It’s his. Nice rig for sure

Yes it’s up for sale. I’m going to have to have a knee replacement surgery at some point so I would be better off with a stock Rubicon. It may be sold. I have to admit I’m pretty apprehensive about selling it. Low mileage rust free clean Rubicon’s are hard to find.
If it doesn’t sell soon don’t be surprised if I change my mind.
That electric step that some of don’t like has been a big hit with every person I have spoken to so far.

I'm sure that electric step is nice... Hell, I am sure I'd even like it myself (and my wife especially would!).

My neighbor recently had knee replacement surgery and I think he too is regretting his huge, jacked up diesel truck! He seems to tell me about it a lot these days.

I agree with you though. Clean, rust free Rubicon's are hard to find. I don't blame you for being apprehensive one bit!

Autotrader and cargurus is flooded right now with sub 40k and 30k miler TJRs. Most in stock form. They are out there right now.

True, but have you seen the frames? Even with low miles, in the wrong part of the country it can still mean rust.

The ones I emailed and called on seemed to be as advertised. For some reason ppl are dumping their TJRs right now. Maybe because of winter coming?

Either that or they're buying JLs.

I've seen a lot of the nice ones on Autotrader, but most of the ads never show the frames.

As long as they didn't drive them in the Winter in those parts of the country they will be rust free, but if they drove them in the Winter, all it takes is 30k miles and 10+ years for the frame to rot.

I will say that there is no shortage of TJ Rubicons though. That's actually a good thing though, as it means there will be parts available for a long time to come.

My 2 cents would be to hang onto it. You know what you got. It's a great Jeep, like you said, they are hard to find. If after your surgery you have a hard time getting into it, just lower it down some.
I agree...my eldest daughter had knee surgery mid year and is well on the road to recovery now....You know every inch of your Jeep and its rust free, low mileage....There are many a tale of people on here who sold their 'Precious' only to regret it later.
As an after thought, you could always go 'Wrangler Lead-sled' with air bags and low ride that puppy lol
