Hi, I’ve searched the web everywhere and haven’t found a clear answer on this question. I have an 05 6-speed manual jeep with the np231. I found a np241 from an 05 rubicon automatic that I was planning to buy. Will the np241 fit, or will I need to redo the input shaft since it’s coming out of an automatic and going into a manual? Is there anyone else who has done this specific swap and did you have to replace the input shaft? Thank you

Pretty sure they're the same, but the parts book under Resources will tell you if there was more than one P/N.

I believe the 241s were all the same, it was the earlier tcases that had different length input shafts for auto/manual. The 42RLE has a connecting shaft between the trans and tcase to put it in the same spot as on the manual. Thats why the rubicrawler only works on autos since it replaces the spacer portion.
