After doing some searching around the forum I thought I had an easy fix on my hands....not so much.
It's. '97 TJ, my headlights, day timing running lights all work, and taillights light up no problems with the headlight switch turned on, but I get no response from my hazards, signals, or brakes.
Ive checked all the bulbs, gone through the fuses, replaced the multifunction switch with a Dorman replacement, and replaced the signal light relay.
This was my first red flag, the relay plug just hanging loose and the relay missing, I borrowed one from my other TJ and still no response, so back to square 1, but it begs the question why mess with the signal light relay in the first place?

The real wrench in it all is one of the previous owners "installed" this aftermarket push button start for whatever reason.

One of the brown wires they used looks like it's spliced into the same bundle that comes from the multifunction switch, so now I'm left wondering if they unplugged something they shouldn't (like the missing relay), or spliced in somewhere they shouldn't, or messed up a ground somewhere.
I also found these two stragglers just hanging out with no discernable purpose.

Im not great with electrical but are there any good starting points as far as things to look at under there?
Here's a picture of the situation under the dash as best I could get.

Hoping something might stand out to someone who knows what they're looking at.
