Nikki's yellow throwback Jeep

Will you be able to repair that t-case to make it a viable spare?
I believe we already have but there is some wear on the end of the tone ring I'd like to get rid of. I actually had a complete rebuild kit with a new chain sitting here just in case. Nick doesn't know it yet but I have a new Mopar clutch disc, clutch cover, throw-out bearing, and pilot bearing sitting here on a shelf with his name on it. I'm going to wait until he is desperate and sell it to him for a discount off of what they go for now.

Do I get the feeling that Nick is going to be your retirement plan? Just hold parts for him until he really needs them! Lol

Watch for rust... They rust even worse than TJs
Before we pissed him off and he took his ball and went home, Frank was restoring his from the ground up. Looking at the amount of rust that thing accumulated in places that were not easy or fun to repair was not something I would ever undertake regardless of the sentimental value. Fully ridiculous.

I had one complete and not running but with zero rust that I sold for 600 purely because I didn't want to mess with it.

I remember. He was doing a nice job with it, but yeah...LOTS of work. The roof was the most surprising to me.

I have buddy that has had a few over the years. The one he has now is pretty good, came from Ga, and STILL has some rust in the rear fenders. Its ridiculous.

I did contemplate selling my "nice" truck, taking about 20,000 of the proceeds, buying a my buddy's "nice" J20 and using the rest of the cash to put a 6.0L GM drivetrain in. That particular hair brained idea died pretty quickly though.

Even up here in the PNW where most things never rust just about every FSJ has rust. And if it doesn't then they want $$$ for it.
I had a pretty rust free Wagoneer that I sold a while back that I wish I'd kept now.

There was a guy in OR that had made a double cab pickup body that he was giving away. I almost went and got it too. Would have been really cool mounted on a Ram frame.

Damn HOA. Apparently there’s a rule against storing “Large Objects” on the patios here. I don’t even know how they saw it, someone must’ve complained. But now the hardtop is back on and while I do appreciate how quiet it is I think the soft top lends itself better the the build and character of the jeep not to mention functionally I think it’s better for off road. I’m not really a fan of the hardtop right now.

Sounds like you are...

I live in Michigan...I've used my hardtop twice in the last three years. It's just collecting dust in the garage. I've tried selling it a couple times, but no one wants to pay more than 300 bucks!
That’s what I really need… a garage. While I may not be feeling the hardtop right now I don’t doubt there’ll be a time in the future when I want it back on🤷🏻‍♂️

I have enough room to store a couple of hundred hard tops. Drive around back, drop it off on the concrete slab and bungee a tarp down over it. It can stay there as long as you need.
