Hello all. Posting late since my job lets out around 11 PM. Anyways, I bought my jeep about a year ago, and the previous owner had removed all the roll bar coverings and padding. This is what it basically looks like.

My frameless soft top bow is rubbing off the clear coat and leaving scrapes on the end of the bars, so I would really like to get a new set of sports bar covers (without the padding). I don't offroad my Jeep enough to warrant needing the protection, and hassle to find and install it. Any suggestions from members here for a good cover that will go over the bars without needing the use of the OEM padding?

When I was a kid, I owned a CJ7. It didn’t have roll-bar covers and I considered using what plumbers use to wrap piping, and holding it down with zip ties. Never did it, and I dont even know if there’s a size available that would actually fit. I knew it wouldn’t wrap all the way around, but it only really needs to be facing inward. And there would probably still be enough buffer for it ‘pad’ from touching your top. Never hurts to take a trip to home depot and find out.

Or go to a salvage yard. You can probably buy the padding for cheap.
