Afternoon all, so I have an 04 Tj 4.0 5 speed and ive had issues with it running rough for about 2 weeks now and just at my breaking point. It was throwing codes p0201-p0206 here and there, at first i thought the fuel pump may be going bad because it only seems to happen when my gas is down to right over a half of a tank. Last night i put some gas in and it still seemed to be running rough, shutting of or not starting at all. Through out this time the gauges on my dash have also been acting pretty wonky speed and rps jumping to max out of no where, gas light turning on when the tank is full so i came to the conclusion that i may have a bad pcm, i took the one out of my 02 that has a ceased engine pluged it in and it started right up. The only thing i noticed that the oil pressure gauge did not move at all and the check gauges light came on (sorry for the story but wanted to give context for my issue) so my question is can i use this 02 pcm for now without having any issues except the oil pressure gauge not activating, they both have the same 4.0L with a manual transmission the only realy difference is the 02 had skim that was deleted, cruise control, and on off switch for passanger air bag (04 is a wrangler x & 02 is a rangler sport) please let me know if any one has any insight on this... thank you in advance

The only thing that will not work is the oil pressure gauge. If either Jeep has a grey key, the VIN needs to be programmed in the ecm.

the 02 had a grey key buy i had an issue with the skim last year so i sent the pcm to you and you deleted it for me, once i can get the 04 pcm out of the jeep ill send that to you for testing and possible repair/ reprogram the right had side bolts heads sheared off and its too cold today to mess with it lmao

do you think this pcm is salvagable, its got some corrosion in the one corner i thnk thats why it was failing
