Ferrari does something like this too I believe. I’ve not tried ordering one to be certain but I think previous ownership makes it easier to get an order allocation.

As I understand it, Ferrari is pretty militant about who they'll sell cars to, particularly special editions. As well, I think you're required to purchase a number of other Ferrari cars before you're given the option to buy up. I recall hearing Chris Harris talk about it on one of his podcasts, I think he also mentioned they have a habit of banning auto journos from review their cars if they've ever been critical of the brands creations...and he should know as they banned him. :D

For me, I think the last good looking model they made was the 458 Italia. But even if I had the money I don't think I'd play (assuming Ferrari allowed me to).

I’d go Lambo over Ferrari but I’d still go Porsche before them.
