Can you still get a Mopar radiator (2005 LJ)? If not, is anything else good quality?

every now and then someone claims they think they got the last one. There might be some out there sitting in a warehouse somewhere but no telling how to find them.

To improve your chances of finding one, if you happen to have a manual transmission you can still use the one for an auto.

Got mine last year from wermopar.com

Even if you find a rare, new in box Mopar radiator...one, lots of counterfeit parts out there, and two, Mopar has largely shipped production overseas.

At this point... especially for my 97... perhaps less so for your 05...the Denso is much less risk...and substantially cheaper.

It's also really easy to change the radiator. My original radiator crapped out about 13 or 14 years in. I bought a cheap replacement from Amazon for $70 that lasted about 5 years. I was one of those guys posting that I thought I got one of the last OEM radiators, about a year ago, from a local dealership, but I paid $350+ for it. When it fails, I'll have no issue replacing it with a cheaper alternative. I too am hearing the Denso version is pretty reliable.

When I purchased my '01 several years ago I replaced the radiator OEM radiator with another OEM radiator.
Shortly after moving to Florida I found a dealership that had several radiators in inventory for a reasonable price.
Even though I had replaced the radiator a couple years prior; I purchased the new in the box OEM radiator as a spare.

I ordered a Nissens from Rockauto for my 03 Rubicon Auto. Should arrive tomorrow and plan on installing over the next few days. Will report back with results.

Denso should be made in Japan and I've used their parts for years on many vehicles. If you receive a Denso part stamped made in the US, send it back. 🇺🇸 ;)

when I re did my cooling system I went with the CSF 2578 off rockauto for around $230. I like it because it's fully metal but not aluminum. Copper core with a brass tank like old school radiators. I like the idea that if it ever went out on me on the trail I could solder it.

My Nissen's is at 13+ years and must be somewhere around 100k miles

Only issue with that statement is that I almost guarantee a manufacture isn't using the same processes, employees, suppliers.

Products change over time and unfortunately past performance doesn't necessarily guarantee success.

We do supply chain vulnerability assessments for vendors. It's pretty grueling and detailed. You should see how many gremlins come out of closets for what I would consider top tier companies. Look at Boeing as a great example.
