Utah Moab in May 2025

Starting a warranty claim with Northridge 4x4 on my RGA Discovery rear axle shaft. Seems to be bent so will get a video and send it off ASAP.
Didn't think I hammered it much except 2 short bursts at Moab.
Only backed down for a second shot at one obstacle.

..and no one told me the red dust is permanent. ;)

Always fun to watch Moab stuff. Some different approaches. I don't think the line they all seemed to pick on Rock Chucker would be possible in a TJ. Also with the wheelbase, large tires and horsepower of those rigs, they were moving much faster up, down and over stuff. Less crawly.

First trail is Metal Masher. Wheel base and tire size makes some difference.

and horsepower

Why are you guys all talkin' like this is a bad thing....

🙂

Do not get so close to the edge (@10:13+). Makes me feel bad just watching !!

You know when you get on your roof to clean the gutters or something and at 1st, you're crouching down, staying back from the edge and in general being super cautious? Then after 10 min you're walking around like its your driveway and leaning over the edge for stuff...

That cliff in Moab is like that. The top of Half Dome in Yosemite is the same way. 4000 ft down. Scary at first, then no biggie.

Sometimes you get to the cliff and just need to send it

Ha ha. Here’s me and my daughter up on Half Dome a few years back.

While we were up there, some lady said “would you pay $500 to be able to zip line the 4500’ down to the lodge instead of having to hike it?” We both said "you bet!"😂

Woke up and took my boys out of school and decided to take them wheeling the next few days. We’re en route to Moab - anyone have suggestions for trails or hikes that are lesser known? We’re rolling as a solo rig, which should probably come into consideration slightly.

See if you can get on Elephant Hill and do the Joint hike - it's pretty cool. White Rim is a longer trail, but a good solo one with great views.

@MagnumV8 hit several trails over the years solo and may have some recommendations.
