Where is our Coyote Canyon run report
Just a quick report for now?

One of two things normally happens when people go wheel with me for the first time.
1. In the first 30 minutes they cuss me out and leave and I never see them again, ever.
2. I get a new friend for life and they ask when are we wheeling again.

There is normally no in between. People either like to wheel with me or they don't.

@NashvilleTJ has wheeled with me on numerous occasions now, so he is one that falls into category 2 and I knew he was going to be good and would have fun. I was not sure about @Woodrow going into this day. But I am happy to say that he falls into Category 2 as well.

Jeff's rig really impressed me on this trail and I believe he is the only one who did not winch, so kudos to Jeff and I owe him an Old Fashion on our next adventure. He made it look easy and I was impressed.

@Woodrow really, really, really impressed me. He had the smallest rig, with probably the least amount of seat time, and not only did he not cuss me and turn around after the first 100 feet of this trail, but he was having fun and was determined to finish. In addition, he finished with not even a scratch on his rig. I lack patience and I am going to get to the top at any cost, if I bend or scratch something that just shows me what I got to cut off for the next trip. Unlike me, Mike was patient, he picked his lines, he took his time, he challenged my spotting on a few occasions (a few times rightfully so and a few times he should have listened), and he cleared this trail with a smile on his face at the end. This was a Type 1 fun trail for me, not sure about Mike and Jeff, it may have been Type 2 for them because they were more worried about their jeep fenders and soft tops, etc... but I am pretty sure we all had fun!!

I unfortunately did not take a single picture, I will see if my wife has any on her phone later.

Love watching you wheel and spot people. You're an artist at work. There was one point where you had Mike go back and forward only a few inches a bunch of times and I couldn't really see what you were getting at until it was done and he was in a better spot. Alot to learn just watching

Glad I didn’t go you’d have likely been dragging me out. After getting home I see my front passenger wheel is no longer straight. Unit bearing probably toast, ball joint probably toast, RCV looks to be fucked and luckily I made it home flat towing. Need to tear it apart to see what all needs replaced.

Glad I didn’t go you’d have likely been dragging me out. After getting home I see my front passenger wheel is no longer straight. Unit bearing probably toast, ball joint probably toast, RCV looks to be fucked and luckily I made it home flat towing. Need to tear it apart to see what all needs replaced.

Thx Victor and ditto. That was an awesome day. That kind of wheeling is like a puzzle. You’ve just got to work your way through sequentially and use all of your tools (especially your more experienced and talented friends). What a blast.

No surprise there. Great build and driver. Parts of the trail were TIGHT and he squeezed it through like a pro. Also never had an old fashioned but really liked the one Jeff made me that evening

You are too kind. I was definitely on/beyond the ragged edge of my capability and that of my rig’s..
