Is it Cowboy coffee? Or Army coffee? Or?

French press! Easy and now that I have a stainless one it's easy to bring anywhere. Though I have always just gotten breakfast at the gas station every trip previous... But this year I have a microwave so who knows!

It's going to be interesting for me. I haven't tent camped in 17 years or so. I guess I need to come up with a trail list. Didn't you mention Elephant Hill?

Haha you might wanna go on a shakedown run first!

Yep I will probably want to do that on one of the days of a trail I am not gonna do - other than pritchett I want to ride along for that again!

You need a 6$ permit for it, available 8am the previous day. There are only 24 a day. And groups can only be 3 vehicles or less.

I hope I can find others to do Fins and Things and Hell's revenge to warm up on. I plan on doing Chicken corners also.

The first year I was on 31s and no lift with a front lunchbox locker and I did fins, hells, metal masher, and the trifecta. Did I also do poison spider that year? I can't remember. I didn't do top of the world that year but I would think you'd probably be able to do that one too?

Lots of landing on the bumper and skid on the trifecta, not sure I'd exactly "recommend" it, but I made it. Only real damage was my hardtop and that was easily avoidable...

Just looked at your profile... You've got a Rubicon and a lift? You said 31s I think? The lockers are gonna be more important than having bigger tires in a lot of scenarios honestly. And the lift will help save your rear bumper and skid. I don't think you should be too worried about keeping up really

Got it! I'll ask later in the thread to decide how to do the split but I'm probably just doing mild and habenero this year. The mediums didn't seem to get as much attention, you either liked spicy or you didn't at all lol

You know I’m a big fan of the habanero variety. The mild’s are tasty too, but I like the kick👍

Here's my list. Gemini bridges, chicken corners,
Dirt roads. Chicken corners has a cool view of those salt ponds though
onion creek,
Fuckin terrible. Hope you like dust
fins and things, hell's revenge,
These are fun. Hells is the hardest in this list but not actually "hard" IMO. Lots of line selection here.
elephant hill,
Haven't been, but I believe it's fairly easy but no dirt road.
top of the world,
You'll be fine. Fun trail. Lots of ledges.
and willow springs
Don't know this one at all
. Mostly moderate to easier trails, I'm thinking?

2.5" lift with 265's. Not a true 32", but close I guess 🤔 My jeep has a tow hitch, witch seems to help to drag off of things.

Ok cool. Yeah you'll be in decent shape - much better than my first time! So you know if you struggle it's just you 😉 I kid.

You (and us) will be better able to judge how you might do on other trails after the first one, idk where we're gonna start. You might end up super confident!!

I had no idea of the danger…

Haha! Yeah imagine onion spray but habeneroey. And you really can't wash the capsaicin off your fingers - you'll burn your eyeballs if you touch them the rest of the day. Sometimes even the next day.

Maybe you could try BrakeKleen, it works well on oil...

elephant hill is awesome, if you can camp back there for a night I'd highly recommend it.
I have done white rim road I think it's the same area, and if so you're right, very very beautiful and remote.
It's not a tough trail, but it's fun. Granted it is a good ways from Moab - so plan accordingly.
It says 175mi round trip. That's a right squeeze on a TJ tank. Isn't there like a single gas pump out there somewhere with insane prices?
