Utah Moab in May 2025

Booked Red Desert RV
Putting you as tentative. Hope you can make it.

Booked Red Desert RV 5/3 - 5/9 (leaving 10th). Was looking at Moab Rim for the trees but turns out the only site available is max 10' height, ironically, due to the trees. My camper is just short of 11' so they sent me to their "new sister park" RDRV.

Lots of work to do to the camper but should be able to get it done.

And will be watching weather forecast in May to decide whether I'll be in my bikini top or hard top, that I really don't wanna damage.

Spinkster pucker already ..

IMO I'd brave the weather no matter what over taking the chance of damaging a hard top... Plus the hard top adds a lot of weight to the top of the vehicle compared to a soft top. You could get a bowless top also.

Agreed. I have bikini, half doors and uppers. Rain gear for me and a RainGear cover for the Jeep. Definitely not skeered of a little weather (except the 100* shit that caused me to cancel last year).

Gonna be solo, none of my Jeep friends have TJs.

Other rigs are welcome... This isn't a TJ specific only event...

I'll take the 100* weather over 40* weather & pissing rain & sleet...

I have a RainGear cover for mine too that I normally trailer it down there with it on.

Agree soft top is the way to go. Both because I damaged mine and it's way more fun having all the windows pulled.

You guys make me feel like a bum jeeper. I just let it rain in the Jeep when I'm there... It's the middle of the desert it'll dry back out 😂
