For context, I have not served, and I didn't "almost join."

A couple months ago a coworker that didn't serve, but acts like a drill instructor, came up to me and basically told me that since I didn't serve, I can't wear an American flag on my shirt. Rubbed me the wrong way. I basically said "whatever" and went back to work. What would y'all have done? This is the shirt:

Yes the Stars lead the way through the door... Look at any uniform of a combat person with the American flag on it.

As to your coworker... I'd of told them to FOAD... As long as you're not trying to claim you served then I have no issues with you or anyone else wearing shirts like that.
