Knew a Senior Chief (E-8) who retired with red stripes (no good conduct medal), He made rank eighteen times!

For all the times I got into trouble I never lost any of my Good Conduct medals... I beat 2 Article 15's by requesting a courts martial instead. They have to be DAMN sure they can prove everything they are trying to charge you on.

So, I joined the Marines in 74' because, you know, I got my girlfriend (aka) first ex wife later pregnant. I got to enjoy 5 glorious weeks of boot camp in beautiful San Diego, woohoo!! I got to experience the shaving cream in the boot locker, and wait for it, I got my mattress thrown out of the second story dorm floor. Those asshats didn't like my limp out on the tarmac, so they ended up giving me a medical discharge. I still tell people it was the best 5 weeks of my life. I've never been in that kind of shape since. Even while being a underground pipe layer laborer, though being a laborer did keep me in good shape.
