I am looking for some metal grab bars for a 2003 TJ. I do not want the ones that stop to the 'roll cage' but want the ones that actually bolt to the existing 2 bolts at the front of the 'roll bar'. There seems to be a ton of different brands and prices. I am not a lightweight (over 200#) so want something that will hold up. Any suggestions of which ones to get or not get?

Thx
Rick

Grabars seem to be the really reliable one's. The amazon copy cats are hit or miss whether they're good or not. I got a set for Christmas and I really like them

I’ve got a pair in my Jeep (I’ll grab a pic in a bit) they where the 50 dollar option on amazon, love them, flex a little bit, but I’ve had my 300lb grandfather use them no problem, I recommenced getting longer bolts though, helps keep them on.

I got the cheap chinese knockoffs. Autosaver88 I think, still have them under a pile of parts somewhere. They were flimsy, though they did the job. Ended up replacing them with USA made grabars which are 100% solid. Buy once cry once.

I tried the cheap Amazon chinese knock offs first and the steel flexed like aluminum so I returned them and went with the US made Grabars. They are solid as a rock and worth the price.

I got a set of Wild Boar about a year ago...they are not bad but in the last month I have noticed some flex.....buy the tried and tested, real deal, steel grabbars 🇺🇸

For those that have had these for a while, do they ever get in the way? Whether wheeling and you pitch wrong or getting in and out of the Jeep, even while working in the cab, do the bars and your noggin ever get each others way?
