Pulled out of the garage for my drive to work -in the dawn hours and no headlights-low beam. I can get high beams- all other functions of the multi functional switch work. Is this systematic issue of the switch failure? I had this happen just recently but had cycled the switch like one does trying determine if you indeed did twist it the proper amount - and they worked with out issue until today. Now its nothing.

Had similar symptoms here. Before diving into the MF switch, I pulled the connectors to the headlights and used some compressed air keyboard cleaner to dust/blow them out really well, then coated the mating surfaces with a little dielectric grease, reconnected and all's been well since. May be worth trying to see if it's just a dirty connection like I had.

Ain’t got power to the headlight on the low beam circuit, so what the problem is common to both headlamps. Not enough time tonight to get to the multi switch harness so looks like I am parking it until the weekend.

It seems the headlight switches are prone to burning out because of full current going through them. It's kind of stupid for Jeep to not use a relay. That being said I bought a relay harness off eBay. Works great.

Just to add that a relay wiring harness will make incandescent headlights brighter by allowing full current directly from the battery. The headlight switch is a chokepoint for current.

Good stuff, forgot I heard that there was no relay on main light circuit. Now I am running LEDs so probably not as much of an upgrade as far increasing illumination nevertheless a good upgrade.

Work has got me pinned down for now, my evenings are just switching scenery from the office to home and with that my choice of beverages

Just leaving some bread crumb information ….found this table and you have a pin 1 reference so I am thinking that if I’d do a top/ bottomed from left to right and count the missing tabs as pin out spot get 20 points…🤔. image.jpg But my continuity testing does not seem to agree with this… just placed the order for replacement switch as I was out of time if I want it to tomorrow.

Well I futz around with the switch, pulled it a part, took a dental pick to the contacts…and seems to be working now…. So I do I put in he new switch when it arrives tomorrow or see how more life this one has to give…🤔
