Hello !

No, TJ Wranglers (1997-2006) did not come with mud flaps from the factory. They weren’t a standard feature, but you could add them as an aftermarket accessory for extra protection or to meet local regulations.

If you’re interested, we offer Jeep Logo options from Plasticolor:

Plasticolor 000491R01 Jeep Logo Mud Guards - 9" x 15": https://www.quadratec.com/p/plasticolor/logo-mud-guards--000491R01
Plasticolor 000542R01 Jeep Logo Mud Guards - 11" x 19": https://www.quadratec.com/p/plasticolor/logo-mud-guards-000542r01

Or you might like the Mopar Splash Guards with the Jeep logo:

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out !

Thank you,

That's not true. I ordered my 1997 Wrangler from the factory with the Jeep Logo mudflaps. I even have the 1997 brochure that I ordered them from that shows the factory picture of them.

Thanks. I am fully aware of these options you listed. Mopar molded mud flaps are not wide enough and they are rigid and don't flex. Other aftermarket mud flaps are not the same fit and durability of the originals. I like the old mud flaps since they are all rubber and thick. I just saw 2005 TJ Rubicon with these on it and looks very nice while fully functional.

That is still aftermarket. Factory is it rolled off the assembly line with it. Not a dealer installed item.

Factory option is an option through the factory. I have my factory brochure and all my original factory documentation. It lists the mud flaps. I don't know how one can say it is not a factory option. #42 and #43, in picture #2, are the factory option mud flaps, from the factory brochure. I also ordered the bikini top, wind jammer, Tonneau cover and hard top. The hard top was installed, but the other three were not for obvious reasons, in that you can't install them when the hard top is installed. But, I got them from the factory along with my Wrangler.

I have the MOPAR "flap" style vs. the molded ones on my LJ which I drive through the winter. They deflect a lot of crud and I barely know they're there. As for the molded style, I understand the were only made for the narrower flares and not the wider 4" flares that are on Rubicons, Saharas, Rocky Mountain Editions, etc.

My 05 LJ I bought last year had them, molded in the rear rubber up front. It was about as original as you could find one. It even had Jeep embossed seat covers that looked dealer installed.
I myself was in pursuit of finding a pair of the rear rubber mud flaps.

Brochure says "splash guards." Zero mention of mud flaps.

Just saying...

42 is the meaning of life...

Wonder what option that chrome tube bumper and winch is? And a rear body matched painted tube bumper.

I have a pair for the rear of a TJ, if you’re interested. Came off my 2004 Sahara.

I would be interested in them but considering you just joined yesterday and your only message on the forum is you trying to sell something your trustworthiness is pretty much zero with me.
But obviously @Rockytop would have first say on them.

Would you be able to shoot me a pic or two of how these attach/mount front and back?

I'll try to take some pics and post them. From memory they bolt on to existing points where the inner liners attach on the back and through the inner fenders on the front.

Here are few pics of the mud flaps on my LJ as seen in post #25 above.

Rear - These are NOS OEM rear flaps and the they are mounted properly. They are the same as the flaps at the top of the pic in post #1 of this thread. No new holes are required. They are mounted using 2 of the holes that mount the fender flares.

Front - This may not be helpful as they are rear flaps that I adapted. The flaps shown at the bottom of the pic in post #1 of this thread are the correct ones. I got these at a junk yard off of the rear of a wreck. The front was too badly damaged and I couldn't get the flaps. Anyway, I removed the metal mounting brackets (note the 3 holes) which were rusted out, and I drilled 3 new holes through them. Two went through the metal inner fender as shown. For the 3rd one I made a simple L-bracket and attached it using one of the holes for the fender flares.

Here's what my LJ looks like from the front. Again, I barely notice the mud flaps and the best thing is that they work!

I love ours. They not only complete the look, they do a really good job of deflecting dirt/debris from the tires.
Our TJ didn't have them on the rear, but as soon as I used the hitch-mounted rack in bad weather, I knew I needed a set for the rear.

What you cannot see in this image is the L-bracket on the backside of that rounded tab, which is the 2nd connection point.

Have we determined if there is anywhere to get these? I’m not concerned about the look one way or the other but definitely would like to be able to drive without the mud covering my driver and passenger windows.

The mudflaps referenced and pictured in my previous post are actually REAR mudflaps... they will not help your windows. ;)

I found them used and they matched the fronts which came on the Jeep when new.
I'm not sure how shipping to AK is these days, but places like Quadratec often have 'universal' kits.
