Looking for pre-cat replacement options

2005 wrangler X with six inline squirrels
im figuring the next thing on my jeep that will need fixing is the pre-cats and cat theres alot of coding going on

on Bank 2 changed out #1 on bank 2 --NO code now

a week later #2 rears its ugly head
changed out #2 on bank 2 and it keeps coding out at almost exactly at 130miles 3 times now

ive never had to go through a emissions test here in Maine

could any here point me to the least expensive but good replacement parts? from header pipes to tailpipe

2006 has issues with a bad PCM from the factory.

Are you running the original PCM?

O2 sensor issue is the PCM and not the sensors.

I went with AFE as I could source it faster at the time.

Be aware it is common to get an O2 Sensor warning (P0298 or similar) as the flanges are hard to seal. Bolts and Hardware are the culprit, the Mopar only nuts likely need replaced Part No: 6506546AA and eBay seemed to have them for $6ea

If the Cats were bad you would be getting a misfire code P0300 and possibly Limp Mode, Check Gauges lights flashing

Replacing the Pre-Cat and pipe can be done in the driveway on your own, but its is a pain. Plan to cuss and get a few scrapes. 15mm flex-head ratchet wrench will help and some wobble extensions. Also depending on the weld job you may need some creativity getting the Cats and Flanges all lined up and torqued properly. I looped a ratchet strap over and around the engine and under the Cat Pipe to help hold it in place while I was laying under it getting everything aligned.

original but had it flashed by a dealership from the "old" recall that was never done to it
