Lifted Truck Aggression?

Sorry, but you’re part of the problem. Left lane is for passing. Look it up.

Good to know 🤡

"In what states is the left lane only for passing?

In Maine, Massachusetts, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey and Washington, on any highway with three or more lanes, the left-most lane is dedicated to passing ONLY."

Carry on @TheBoogieman, looks like you are not the problem.

This time 😃

In most states they have slower traffic keep right signs.

Most of the time, I drive in the right lane. I rarely drive in the left lane, because that is where the real crazy people drive. When someone starts driving too close behind me, or tailgating, I just wave them by me. Most people don't seem to understand the safe driving distance. It is 1 car length for every 10 miles per hour. If there are hazardous conditions like rain, or heavy traffic, the safe driving distance increases. If someone is driving 1 or 2 car lengths behind me at 60 miles per hour, I just wave them past me. If I'm on surface streets and someone is driving behind me at 1 car length doing 40 mile per hour, I wave them pass me. If they still don't get it, I slow down "without braking" and wave them past me. Eventually, they get the idea. If you brake check them, they get really crazy, and it starts road rage. I just don't drive reckless and unsafe. I always practice defensive driving. Most of the time, they just drive crazy behind the next vehicle, trying to start trouble. I just shake my head. If I turn on my underglow and rock lights, they really get crazy. So, most of the time, I just leave them off.

Do the Topgun.

Move left
Apply brakes
Apply gas
Slide back over behind them

You, are a sensible man, sir! 👏

I blame the DMV for this problem. They fail to train people properly on defensive driving when they give the driving tests. Then, with all those billboards, they can't even post the safe driving distance. So, most people don't know how to drive a safe distance, or even what it is, or even how to safely stop. You don't stop right on the bumper of the car in front of you. You are supposed to always leave yourself a way out. The safe stopping distance is about 1 car length. You are supposed to be able to see the bottom of the back tires of the car in front of you. This way you don't end up blocking intersections or drive ways by always planning to stop a safe distance. If the car in front stalls, you create a hazardous condition, especially on the freeway, trying to back up. If I get really angry about it, I don't move, and I wave them pass me. Then, they have to back up. I try not to do that in really heavy traffic. But, if it is light traffic and someone is riding my tail like that, I don't move and I wave them pass me. I really don't want reckless drivers behind me. I give them plenty of distance afterwards, to prevent road rage. Most of the time, they just start to drive even more reckless. Or, they are nice about it and wave at me in thanks for letting them pass me. Not that they get just how dangerous they drive. I've seen many accidents from people driving that way. The car in front takes off, and then they have to immediately stop, and the car behind is riding so close and aggressive that they can't stop. I don't want my Jeep damaged, even if it is not my fault. I'd rather not waste the time. So, I always leave to go to my job or appointments early, so that I'm not in a hurry.

I blame the DMV for this problem. They should have signs on the roads with all

When common sense and respect goes out of the window, signs appear every 100 feet! It's like the labels they have on coffee cups in some fast food places: "CAUTION HOT! " Duh!
Maybe I'm part of a different generation? NOT!

Perhaps. But, you can have all the signs in the world. It won't stop bad driving or someone who doesn't care about others on the road.

My question is, "Have you ever in your entire life seen a billboard sign saving "1 car length for every 10 mph"? I've seen many videos of people driving one car length on the highway in snowy and icy conditions. Then, they have a major pile up. People just don't drive safe distances and they don't even slow down. The maximum speed is not 65 MPH in heavy snow. It is not as fast as you can go. If you can't see 30 feet in front of you, you shouldn't drive more than 30 MPH. I've seen cops on the highways driving the same way for no reason, 1 car length at 65 MPH. If they want to check someone's license, they always do it from the other lane anyway. Occasionally, I do see cops driving safe. And, the ones in my neighborhood, know me, and they always compliment me on my safe driving. Most of the time, they make me feel like their police partner. Once, they were watching me. They pulled up to me, and, they asked me what happened back there. I told them that the car was tailgating me, so I waved him past, but he wouldn't go around. They said, "OH". And they drove away. I didn't start road rage. I just refuse to drive reckless or let reckless drivers upset me. Just go around, I'm not playing games with my life on the roads.

I learned one car length for every 10 mph when I took driving class in high school in mid 70's, and it was tattooed on my brain! I still remember it, and try to follow it. Well, most of the time! :)
I wonder if they still teach that. If they do, then, that's what I mean with all the signs in world won't help.

Thank Stella for that. Thank God shampoo bottles say, "for external use only."

The reason why coffee cups state this comes from the Liebeck v. McDonald's Restaurants trial of 1994. One accidental coffee spill ended up granting 79 year old Stella Liebeck almost $3 million dollars.
