We have done Trough twice without buggies.
Nice! That’s good to know. Thinking about making that happen before summer ends
We have done Trough twice without buggies.
Trough is better for the TJ wheelbase than LJ for the same tire size, but it's doable on either. Post up if you want company, I'd like to get a little more wheeling in this year.

But there was one broken chromoly front shaft and one broken front ring gear.....but yeah, no buggies!
Don't forget peeling the tread off of garBage tires.

I would say Trough is more doable than Carnage. Trough has obstacles that have easier, LOL, lines and Carnage is less forgiving. Either trail I would recommend bringing a trailer. Better chances of a break down.
Trough was hard on my body mounts I remember. A raised set would go a long ways.
Is sidewinder as tough as trough?
That’s good info. I walked the start of carnage and ran chinaman instead. If that’s what it’s comparable to I want to run it with someone that knows it. Trailer is good call
Carnage up to the waterfall is the easy part. After that it's ridiculous. Go look at the exit next time instead of the entrance.
Hey, does anyone have an suggestions on where to find a TJ hard top in Colorado? I've tried Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace for the greater Denver/Colorado Springs area and didn't find much (and what I found I never got a response from the seller). I'm unfortunately in the situation where I got laid off and will be moving back to the PNW where my ratty soft top won't cut it, so I'm hoping to find a hard top before I pack up and move in two weeks.
It's random when they come up. They fetch about $1000. Marketplace or FB are your options.
I could be convinced to sell mine for $1000
You still have one?
