Jerry Cans - A History

The Britelyt folks have a pdf of all the fuels that are approved and tested. Mix motor oil 50/50 with a volatile like mineral spirits or gasoline, pour it in, pre-heat, and fire it off. You'll spend days cleaning and rebuilding one if you use used motor oil. There's a big difference between "you can" and "you should". Like "you can" run one on straight diesel, but "you should" cut the diesel with 10 - 15% gasoline for best results and minimum problems. "You can" run one on everclear / moonshine, but "you should" run it on old scrap gasoline and drink the moonshine.

This is the answer I expected from you , because it makes sense and is well reasoned ! The first statement that the lamp will run on oil had me laughing.
I wouldn't want my lamp burning like a Kuwaiti oil field. Thanks man.

But , can you or I buy it in less than $ 100,000 quantities ? :ROFLMAO:

Creativity and connections counts for a lot.

Side tale, as an example.

Wheat, hard red winter wheat for baking. It's expensive to purchase. BUT, I worked with a guy whose parents had a wheat farm. When they were harvesting, it was a no brain'r and easy to show up (with prior invitation) with two 55 gallon plastic drums. They would dump freshly harvested wheat into the drums. No charge. 110 gallons of wheat will last a family of four a long time. 220 gallons of wheat was as easy as 110 gallons.

Same with a lot of stuff. It's not who you blow, necessarily, it's who you know and how you know them. 110 gallons of wheat wasn't even round off error for them, as they spilled that much changing trucks. It was everything to me and my family because that was a years worth baking.

But can you hook us up with some kerosene ? :ROFLMAO: I knew a corn producer that would do the same thing , folks were using it in corn stoves for heat and he would help them out.
