Hey Guys,

just asking a quick question on this FB listing near my house. Do we think this is a real ARB bumper? The price seams real low. I had heard quadratec made a version that looks similar. Anyone have experience with these?

Based on the overspray in the background I can tell this was clearly spray-painted seconds before posting. They want 160 for it.

I never wanted a bumper this heavy especially on my 4 cyl jeep but it seems like a fantastic deal if its legit.

Looks like it, the gusseting from the rear view looks similar to mine- that Jeep logo throws me off. I have the narrower of the two designs the wider version has the lights and addition bar.

The Q-tec bumper doesn't really look like the ARB; there are similarities but it's not a carbon copy. As to the low price, it's probably due to all of the rust on the inside of that thing.

Obvious overspray pattern literally behind the bumper and obvious paint covered rust hahaha

Hmmm some slanted pessimism here from the stubby crowd… I think y’all are missing the potential awesomeness that this opportunity presents. The weight concern could be a total non issue if the rust is significant enough.

To the original poster, see my post when I was in a similar situation when my bumper came up on market place.

By my calculations- assuming one was going to to add the winch plate mount to the factory set up it was only about 15lb gain on my model. If your interested I think that bumper could clean up,the winch area looks totally fine just not sure on the mount point from those pictures.

Two additional thoughts that model is heavier than the model I purchased and when I had a 4cyl CJ paying attention to the weight has its benefits and depending on your build plans you may want to join the stubby crowd.
