I’m planning to clean out and coat the inside of my frame in the coming weeks. I’ve read good reviews on Eastwood internal frame coating, however it is pricey. Is there something that makes Eastwood particularly better for INTERNAL frame coating rather than any other rust inhibitor (aside from the spray wand)?

I’m also curious why they bothered putting holes in the side of the frame. It seems like a good way to guarantee a frame would get filled with water and crud and rust out.

The nice thing about the eastwood stuff is that its VERY thin, and it will run into the flakes that are already there and seal the metal. When you use a normal spray paint, you get the top surface, but its difficult to get it around edges, as happens when the frame starts to rust. The esatwood stuff is designed to run and pool in the crevices to get EVERYWHERE. Note: when you use it, be sure to tape up all the holes in the frame, except the one your spraying into. It will get everywhere if you don't.
